GULFPORT, Ala. (WPMI) Gulfport Police are searching for the man accused of stealing a Salvation Army kettle full of money. Michelle Pope stood outside Winn Dixie Tuesday, ringing the bell. When she was about to wrap up that night, she was unexpectedly pushed. "I was pushed really hard where I almost hit the ground but I didn't and when I stood back and realized that my bucket was running down the road. I was running down the road behind it," said Pope. "If that individual would come down to the Salvation Army, if they have a need, my goodness, we will meet that need," added Major Gary Sturdivnat. Salvation Army officials estimate the thief made off with between $150 and $300 in cash.
