After many years of having my NYC Low Volume Practice Kit stuffed with old T-Shirts, I removed the shirts and placed a small amount of packing material on the bottom heads of the two toms. I didn’t put the packing material in the snare and I occasionally muffle the snare with an external muffler. The result is the toms and snare have a much nice sound. Then I played along to Miles Davis’ “The Theme.”
